The course aims at equipping students with advanced skills necessary for valid and reliable research in education. Special attention will be paid to employing the methods of qualitative and quantitative research in the field of education. Throughout the course students will be exposed to the principles of planning a scientific piece of work; they will study the systems of citation, referencing, creating footnotes and comments; the students will learn how to deal with planning, drafting and writing up a piece of research; they will master how to shape the research topic into a plausible enquiry and develop relevant advanced level research methodology and methods necessary for successful completion of research. The course will help the students to write methodologically and linguistically valid course work or unique, innovative research meeting the requirements of doctoral degree. They will also learn how to get published in scholarly journals.
