This course is designed to provide a comprehensive coverage of Total Quality Management. The content is wider and more practical than the Quality Management course offered at the B.A. level. It is also more real-life oriented with possibly more incoming contribution from the master’s students most of whom are already employed. Emphasis will, therefore, be placed on both theory and implementation of Total Quality Management.

Upon successful completion of the course, students should be able to:

  1. Develop an appreciation of total quality management theory, principles, and practices.
  2. Implement quality improvement efforts using teams.
  3. Identify and meet the needs of internal/external customers.
  4. Develop strategies for organizational change and transformation.
  5. Use quality improvement tools and practices for continuous improvement.
