The course aims to provide students with the knowledge, creative and critical thinking skills, and confidence needed to become "self-directed learners" who can successfully navigate the constantly changing environment of technology integration in the classroom. Using the principles of self-directed learning as its foundation, the course aims to help students learn to evaluate and reflect on professional practice to make informed decisions regarding the use of technology in the process of enhancing quality education. The course highlights the students’ comprehensive awareness in the field of education technology, philosophy of technology, new trends in curriculums, Computer Assisted Language Teaching, Information and Communication Technology tools, instructional design and material development, contemporary teaching strategies and evaluation techniques.
